  • The INBDE HAS STARTED: See what some test takers are saying!
As you might imagine, it’s not easy trying to prepare for an entirely new dental exam.
But if you put in the work to review the proper material offered by MDI Prep, the benefits are massive:
  • Increase probability of passing the INBDE on the first attempt
  • Put yourself in a position to receive your U.S. dental license
  • Decrease the amount of time trying to find answers to INBDE questions
  • Speed up the process of providing financial security for your family
Let’s explain how you can benefit from MDI Prep and from individuals who share their experiences with the INBDE exam.

Step 1: Proper Preparation

You probably have an instinctual sense of what you must do to pass the INBDE exam, but some of the keys to success may not be so apparent
If you start by doing research, conducting your own studies, this is cumbersome and time consuming.
For example, for our MDI Prep students, we provide all the content and resources in one place. The INBDE course helps you to narrow down the topics that you may have the most difficulty with.
This INBDE course is a live interactive online class with expert U.S. trained dental instructors. Even if you haven’t begun preparing for the INBDE exam, this course can benefit you tremendously.

Proper planning prevents a poor performance. Therefore, all students anticipating joining the MDI Prep class will be required to review over 40 hours of pre-recorded lectures prior to their first day of class. This is an excellent element to keep in mind, especially during the preparation stage. It basically means: You will start at the same level as everyone else in your class

This is especially important if you have been out of school for an extended period of time. In this case, you don’t have to worry about being behind your classmates. MDI Prep believes that a stress free student will be a successful and stress free test taker. Which means eventually a stress free dentist.
When you combine all of these elements, you can increase your chances of passing the INBDE exam.

Step 2: Read the advice for those who have taken the exam.

You need to adhere to the experience of others who have already taken the INBDE exam. In August 2020 several students shared their experience with the INBDE exam. They didn’t share specific questions, but did offer some insight to topics that were high yield for review.
The exam is 500 questions. The first day is a full-day, 360 questions, divided as follow:

The second day is a half-day, 140 questions, divided into 2 sessions, each session has 70 questions (All cases; 3-5 questions for the same case) in 1 hours and 45 minutes, with 15-minute break between the two sessions.

  • Statistics
Pathology is SUPER important, Medications are SUPER important. This is a short list of the items we have compiled from student experiences. We offer a much more comprehensive list along with explanations during the INBDE course.
Note: Based on the preliminary INBDE test reports there doesn’t seem to be a lot of biochemistry on the exam. This should in no way allow you to relax on that topic. The INBDE exam test developers are smart and we anticipate there may be several different versions of the exam, some of which would have much more biochemistry questions.
The objective of this blog is to help you better prepare for the INBDE and to afford you the best opportunity at passing the exam on the first attempt.
Conclusion
It’s not an easy preparing for the INBDE You have to take time to develop a good study plan — it takes us at least 3 months to prepare our students — and then strategically implement a final review, which can also take at least another month. However, investing in the MDI Prep INBDE Course can have major payoffs when you successfully pass the exam.
